The fifth edition of the biggest rock event in Bulgaria SOFIA ROCKS will take place on July 6 at the "Academic" Stadium. The organizers from Balkan Entertainment Company have invited some of the hottest most exciting rock bands again – THIRTY SECONDS TO MARS, the punk rockers THE OFFSPRING and Swedish indie rockers MANDO DIAO.

The tickets go on sale on Monday, February 3, at 10:00 am sharp. Remember well this time because the first 500 tickets of the categories STANDING and STANDING FRONT OF STAGE will have a special promo price of 80 and 100 BGN. After 4 studio albums, over 50 music awards, Guinness World Record for the longest ever tour by a rock band (nearly 60 countries on 6 continents), over 311 shows to three million people and many impressive videoclips, reaching the heights of film productions, the American rock band THIRTY SECONDS TO MARS will headline the SOFIA ROCKS 2014.

The band was signed back in the '98 by the brothers Jared and Shannon Leto. Their distinctive sound, marked by aggressive and melodic at the same time sound, grabed the attention with the first album, A Beautiful Lie, which nailed almost 2 million copies sold. This instantly catapulted the band among the most popular groups in the U.S. and Europe.

Special moment in band career is the creation of This is War. The album reached the 18th place on the Billboard 200. With Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams (2013) the band turned direction and decided to send the first copy of the single "Up in the Air" aboard the Dragon Spacecraft on SpaceX CRS-2. At the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards the emblematic sond "Up in the Air" won the award for Best Rock Video.

THIRTY SECONDS TO MARS are scrolling the globe, and their tour schedule is more than hectic. Fortunately for all fans and thanks to SOFIA ROCKS 2014 they will finally play in Bulgaria. Time is ticking.

The fans of SOFIA ROCKS will see and hear live for the first time in Bulgaria the stars from the best-selling of all time punk rock band THE OFFSPRING. The group was formed in 1984, has released 9 albums, one compilation and three DVD-'s, reaching sales of over 40 million copies wordlwide.

Revived the popularity of punk in the 90s, THE OFFSPRING underwent a series of transformations to reach the familiar composition – Dexter Holland (vocals, rhythm guitar), Noodles (guitar), Greg K. (bass) and Pete Parada (drums). The second album Ignition won the gold medal, and the third - Smash became a breakout success. The single "Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)" from the album Americana became an absolute hit and entered the charts of the eternal classics of the 90s.

Such was the fate of the rest of the work of the punks, including their latest 2012 album Days go by, which again nailed the gold. Exactly with this indefatigable spirit, filled with a wide range of iconic tracks, we will face THE OFFSPRING on July 6 at the "Academic" Stadium.

The Swedish rock band MANDO DIAO will also take part in the fifth edition of SOFIA ROCKS. The band is now currently working on their 10th album. After the release of the records they will jump into a wild tour, part of which is their visit at SOFIA ROCKS. The Bulgarian fans will be among the first one to hear the tracks from Aelita.
