Rammstein To Present Brand-New Pyro-Show in Sofia

In a special Facebook address to their fans, Rammstein announced they cant’ wait to shake Sofia at Sofia Rocks 2013. The German band awaits the entire Bulgarian rock family at the National Stadium this Friday.

The Sofia show shall be one of the last concerts in Rammstein’s 2013 summer festival tour. Afterwards the six-piece shall take a deserved break from playing live. The headliners of this year’s Sofia Rocks Festival are coming to town with 25 huge trucks full of equipment. The arrival date and the length of their stay in Bulgaria are still unknown. Richard Kruspe revealed in a recent interview that the band shall act spontaneously as always, and that the musicians will decide on the spot how long to stay and whether to party after the show.

The German metal titans want first-class freshly roasted coffee and dark tequila backstage. In addition there’ll be Veuve Cliсquot champagne in the dressing rooms, which should be full of light, decorated in bright colors and furnished with full-size mirrors.

The building of the huge festival stage, whose parts were brought in Sofia from Italy already, begins on Monday and shall be finished in three days, a day and a half needed for the stage lights only. The unique pyrotechnics for Rammstein’s show shall be installed during the night before the event.

Bullet for My Valentine shall visit Bulgaria for the first time ever to present their new album "Temper Temper" as part of the line-up of Sofia Rocks 2013. The Welsh metal four-piece’s rider requires sushi, Thai and Chinese food, but the musicians have hinted at their interest in checking the local national cuisine as well. The guys would also like to have Manuka honey, a huge box of Lemon & Ginger tea and three cases of mineral water backstage.

Hämatom will get on stage backed by their own LED screen that shall be used for a phenomenal multimedia show, especially designed for the Bulgarian audience.

Enslaved shall rely on an impressive drum set and tons of beer.

About the festival: SOFIA ROCKS shall gather rock fans from all over Bulgaria and the entire Balkan Peninsula in downtown Sofia for the fourth time on July 26, 2013.
The festival's first edition gained a place in the history of rock music with the memorable show of The Big Four of American Thrash Metal: Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth и Antrax shared one stage for the first time ever in 2010. Bulgaria not only hosted this event, but broadcast it live in movie theatres across the globe. The recording was later released on DVD.
Except for the four thrash metal legends, numerous other bands have played on the stage of SOFIA ROCKS, a. o. Alice in Chains, Stone Sour, Whitesnake, Guns N' Roses, Trivium, Ugly Kid Joe, Kaiser Chiefs, Clawfinger, Manowar, Within Temptation... As for SOFIA ROCKS 2013, the name of the big stars of this year's event is already known: Rammstein - the German metal machine that debuted on Bulgarian soil at that very same 2010 edition of the festival.
